Thursday July 29 2010..the work is over

WHAT A DAY!

The team got so much done this morning. We were basically redoing what had already been done. While that can be very discouraging, our team did it with maximum effort and great hearts. Redigging the mud and clay was difficult, heavy, and tiring. We got enough done this morning for the steel to be tied so we could pour mixed cement this afternoon. Here are some pics from this morning:

The orphanage team had a rough time leaving all of the beautiful kids at the center. They were crying as they left in the bus, but joined right back in the work this afternoon. The VBS team had a much better time with the kids in the community today. Molly and the team was outstanding!

As the work team prepared for work this afternoon, we joined hands and prayed that God would hold off the rain. And He did! But He even went one step further, He provided overcast skies and a cool breeze and it was the best weather we could ask for. And we worked and worked and worked. We had what could only be described as an insane cement pouring line.Check out these pics:

Tonight we had the opportunity to thank each other for what happened during our work week and it was powerful. The group came together, friendships were strengthened, and to quote Jordan Prokop: "we felt like a family". And we are.

And so, the work is done and we are resting. We get to sleep in tomorrow...breakfast isnt until 8. Wow!

Tomorrow we are going to the market and to Montego Bay. Thank you all for you prayers and support. We couldn't have done this without you.

Much love,

Mark

Would it be illegal for Molly to smuggle one of those kids home with her? How beautiful they are!
